Sterzing is a charming late medieval mining town and - located at almost 1000 meters - South Tyrol's highest town. The characteristic "Zwölferturm" from around 1470 majestically watches over the Christmas market and the cultural monuments. The colorful house facades with their characteristic oriel windows give the Fugger town its neat Central European cityscape.
